Lyric of the day

I feel so lonely night and day
I can't get your love, I must stay away
I need you girl, by my side
Uh-oh, little girl, would you like to take a ride, now
I can't get your love, I can't get satisfaction
Uh-oh, little girl, psychotic reaction

Count Five

When I was about 18 I started listening to the Yardbirds becuse they had a cassette with Sonny Boy Williamson playing with them going cheap. It blew me away. I loved the harp from that day forward. Tim and me used to be baggage handlers on chartered trains going up and down the country and this was my chosen tape for the journeys...couldn't get enough of it. When I first heard Count Five's Psychotic Reaction I thought they were definately listening to the Yardbirds also!!

  1. I was sixteen when I first heard Sonny Boy, along with Son House and Robert Johnson, while drinkin cold tea round at a mate's damp, tie-dyed hovel in Accrington.

    It changed my life...

The harp is so immediate and intense, I love it because it speaks straight from the soul.
